Distracted in Class

As I sit here in Consumer Market Behavior, I find myself trying to listen but I’m distracted by all of the technology around me.

I can see someone’s email, Facebook, texting conversations, texting under the desk, people studying for a test, someone is doing homework, and we are taking notes on Chapter 7-whatever that is. I don’t even own the book for this class.

No one pays attention. We talk about football at the beginning of every class. Don’t get me wrong, I love the professor, and he knows what he is talking about, but I just have way too much to distract me.

I’m looking for internships during class, trying to pay attention, looking at Pinterest-studying Fashion Week styles, checking my Twitter and Facebook and looking through my connections on LinkedIn.

You see, even though I am distracted in class, I’m doing things to further my knowledge in the things I want to do with my life.

One time in class, I sat here watching videos on Photoshop, trying to learn new ways to edit my photos. I made an invitation for a birthday party. Today, I’m working on a brochure for work.

I know I’m not the only one having this problem. We’re halfway through the semester, and I have NO IDEA what is going on in any of my classes.

I want to know how you’re distracted.
